There are an estimated 49.6 million victims trapped in modern-day slavery. 70% of whom are female, and the majority are from poorer countries (*). These individuals are slaves, bought and sold for a few pounds/dollars.
This activity encourages pupils to think about what a human being is worth, to think about how valuable every life is, that no one should be sold into any kind of slavery.
